Women in Africa and Asia walk roughly 3.7 miles for water, each day.

Non-Profits working in Asia and Africa know the challenges remote and impoverished communities face.

“I will not leave South Africa, nor will I surrender. Only through hardship, sacrifice and militant action can freedom be won. The struggle is my life. I will continue fighting for freedom until the end of my days.” – Nelson Mandela

Not only do women have to walk extreme distances for water, they face disease and sanitation issues that come with drinking unclean water. 2.4 billion people do not have access to adequate sanitation around the globe and over 315,000 children die every year from diarrheal diseases caused by unsafe water.

Seventy-five percent of the world’s poorest countries are located in Africa. This includes Zimbabwe, Liberia and Ethiopia.

One of the challenges that comes with extreme poverty is malnourishment. One in three people living in sub-Saharan Africa are undernourished. 239 million people in sub-Saharan Africa were hungry in 2010 according to The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. This is the highest percentage of any region in the world!

Another challenge faced by impoverished communities in sub-Saharan Africa is a lack of access to electricity. Nearly, 589 million people live without electricity and as a result, 80 percent of the population relies on wood, charcoal and dung in order to cook.A lack of electricity also creates challenges for the non-profits and global organizations seeking to aid these regions.

Less than 20 percent of African women have access to education. These uneducated women are twice as likely to contract AIDS and 50 percent less likely to immunize their children.Aldelano Cold Chain Solutions help non-profits bring life sustaining resources to remote and impoverished communities. Our Solar ColdBox provides cold food storage, which can radically change a non-profits ability to operate in and aid these communities.

Not only do we provide cold storage, the Solar ColdBox also provides auxiliary power through solar energy. This can allow organizations to operate power tools, medical devices and more.

The Aldelano Solar WaterMaker creates water from the moisture in the air! This is a life saving solution for communities without access to clean water. We can even provide ice. Just think, access to clean water gives African women more time which creates times for education. Access to clean water allows non-profits to provide multiple life changing resources to areas in need such as education or medical care. Education can give these women the knowledge they need to protect themselves and their children.

Aldelano Solar Cold Chain Solutions allow non-profits, governments and global organizations to operate in even the most remote locations.

Approximately one in 16 women living in sub-Saharan African will die during childbirth or pregnancy. Our Solar Cold Chain Solutions help non-profits take medical care into these impoverished regions by providing doctors with necessary solar power, clean water, and cold storage for live saving medicines.

All of our resources are portable. The Aldelano Solar ColdBox™ operates independently of ANY power grid, with virtually NO operating costs.

We seek to change how global organizations aid communities in need.
